More than two-thirds of respondents in a recent survey* believe that most recalled food has already been eaten by the time a recall is announced. 

Of course this may not be the case, as at the time of a recall a food product might be in a family's freezer, pantry or refrigerator.  


New tools from the Partnership for Food Safety Education provide a very basic orientation for consumers to the identifying marks on food products they should look for in the event of a recall.
